Biodivervity in Bulgaria :: Invasive alien species

Invasive alien species are non-native species that are introduced deliberately or unintentionally outside their natural habitats where they become established, proliferate and spread in ways that cause damage to human interests. For this reason, they are now recognized as one of the greatest biological threats to the environment and economic welfare of the planet. The threat to biodiversity due to invasive alien species is considered second only to that of habitat loss (source http://biodiv.org).

Below are provided links to the major documents, initiatives and activities relating to invasive alien species both at international and nation level.
